Health & Safety policy Remøy Management (Company) works proactively to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all personnel working or visiting the Company’s vessels and premises. The objective is to prevent incidents, accidents and work-related ill health by managing the health and safety risks on board and ashore. The Company encourage the personnel to take care of their own health, safety and welfare. Personnel are offered healthy and nutritional food and all vessels have training facilities available on board. The Company will achieve the health and safety objectives by: Controlling the use of substances hazardous to health. Providing and ensuring the use of suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Evaluating risk and providing work descriptions and procedures. Ensuring personnel are qualified to undertake assigned tasks. Encouraging continuous improvement in safety awareness and supporting the use of risk assessment in order to minimize incidents. Empowering personnel to invoke a “stop work” policy whenever any person or the environment is at risk. Ensuring that our vessels and premises are constructed to support a safe and healthy working environment. Participating in emergency exercises at regular intervals. Providing work descriptions with designated HSEQ responsibilities. Developing a HSEQ action plan with periodical objectives and targets. Providing nutritional arrangements specific to vessel requirements with cultural and religious needs considered. Organising work and off-duty time on board to create social and environmental conditions that are conducive to health, well-being and welfare for personnel. Providing workers the opportunity for professional and personal development through their work.
